Web Sites for the Unknown Artist
A new website wants to bring unknown artists to the world's attention.
ArtistsWanted.org, is not a charity despite its .org ending, but it is a business that hopes to make a profit identifying artistic talent and connecting it to an audience.
With sites like Behance.net and EveryArt.com it makes you wonder when does a hobby become art and when is it just a hobby? Is everyone with a cellphone making art or video that is worthy of making the world aware of?
Sites like the ones above may be looking to create new artist sensations online much the way youtube has created music sensations. So there is youtube.com for emerging music and video, Etsy for crafters, maybe Behance, EveryArt and Deviant Art, are the next arena for artists and photographers hoping to become the next Jeff Koons or Starn Twin.
