Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist

Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist

The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace

Friday, 4 May 2012 to Sunday, 7 October 2012

The largest exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical studies opens Friday May 4 in London. This exhibit entitled Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist will be on exhibit at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace. The 87 pages from his notebooks will be on exhibit and reveal that he was centuries ahead of his rivals in terms of understanding anatomy. Today, a special iPad app was made available to coincide with the exhibit. The app, Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomy reverses and translates thousands of notes he made in his distinctive mirror writing. The app also brings to life all 268 of Leonardo’s anatomical drawings in the Royal Collection.
